It was a pleasure to join PCSOs Stacey Morgan and Kevin Aston from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team whilst on their patrol in Caerau, Maesteg.

We had some great conversations with residents and local businesses in Caerau and Nantyffyllon. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly our visit to the Caerau Dragons Boxing Club.

It was a great putting on the gloves and joining their training session at Noddfa Community Centre. Under the expert guidance of coaches Tudor and Leon, the club does great work with young people. They are not just teaching boxing; they are building discipline, confidence, and a sense of community for local young people.

My thanks to Tudor, Leon, and everyone at the club for their warm welcome. It’s a perfect example of how grassroots organisations, working alongside our local PCSOs, can make a real and lasting difference in the heart of our communities.
