Apprentices are vital for Ogmore and can open doors to exciting careers.
The Welsh Government’s pioneering apprenticeship programme is making a real difference and transforming lives via wide-ranging innovative schemes.
During ‘Apprenticeship Week’ I saw this firsthand when I visited the Persimmon Training Academy in Llanharan where apprentices from Bridgend College, local schools and alongside the Construction Industry Training Board CITB, are training the next generation of learners and shaping the future of construction.
Apprenticeships are an important part in gaining important skills whilst earning a wage and it is incredible to see that last year, two thirds of those starting apprenticeships were women.
