I recently had the pleasure of joining Eluned Morgan MS, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, to visit the Marie Curie Wales teams at their Pencoed offices. Pencoed is also home to their vital UK-wide Support Line.
We met with staff from across the charity and learned about the wide range of issues callers face, from coping with a terminal diagnosis to navigating the benefits system and managing rising fuel costs.
Following the meeting, we participated in a roundtable discussion to delve deeper into the daily work of Marie Curie staff and their fantastic ongoing projects to improve palliative and end-of-life care across Wales.
If you, or someone you love, is living with a terminal illness or facing death, bereavement, or dying, Marie Curie can provide support. Visit their website at mariecurie.org.uk, call their free Support Line on 0800 090 2309, or email support@mariecurie.org.uk.
