On Thursday 4th July 2024 voters across the UK will head to the polls for the UK Parliamentary General Election.
For the UK Parliament (NOT THE WELSH PARLIAMENT) Ogmore is a former constituency.
It ceased to exist following the boundary change in 2024. The seat was last held by Chris Elmore (Labour) between 5 May 2016 to 30 May 2024.
The boundary for the Ogmore constituency is still very much in place for the Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament but will change after the next Welsh elections in 2026.
For the UK Parliament, some existing Ogmore areas will move into the new Bridgend and Porthcawl constituency; some will move into the new Aberafan Maesteg constituency, some to the Pontypridd constituency and others into the new Rhondda Ogmore constituency.
