Huw Irranca-Davies MS is calling on residents to support Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal, the charity’s biggest annual fundraiser for expert end-of-life care.

One in four people in the UK lack proper end-of-life care, highlighting the crucial need for Marie Curie’s services. The appeal raises vital funds for nurses, hospices, and support lines, ensuring everyone receives the care and support they deserve.

Residents can show their support in several ways, whether it’s by donating; volunteering – handing out daffodil pins for donations, or to ‘Go Yellow’ on 21st March and wearing or baking something yellow at work, school or anywhere.

At the charity’s recent Great Daffodil Appeal launch in the Senedd, the Ogmore MS said: “The work Marie Curie does is needed now more than ever. Every donation means Marie Curie can be there for people and their loved ones when they need it most and I would urge everyone in Ogmore to show their support in any way they can.”

Claire Phillips, Marie Curie Head of Fundraising in Wales, expressed gratitude: “We’re grateful for MS Irranca-Davies’ support and encourage everyone to join us. With Superdrug as our headline partner, the 38th Great Daffodil Appeal promises to be a fun and impactful way to make a difference.”
