Bridgend County Borough Council Statement:
Do you have any household objects that need fixing? Would you like to learn how to make repairs for free? Bring your much-loved but broken or weary items along, and see if they can be revived and given an new burst of life.
Based at the ‘Shedquarters’ Men’s Shed, the café is a free meeting place where you can take items such as clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances and toys, to be fixed with help from expert volunteers.
All tools and materials are provided, and you can also enjoy a cup of tea while you work.
The pop-up scheme is supported by BAVO and the Welsh Government, with the shop running on a monthly basis – the last Saturday of every month, 10am to 12noon.

Following his visit to the Repair Cafe, Huw said:
“End the throwaway culture, save the planet and save money by repairing and recycling your old but loved items.
Thanks to the Repair Café for taking on my old lamp, and my old bed headboard too. If you can work wonders on them, and give them a new lease of life, then it’s a win-win for me and for the environment too! Well done all!”
